Creating content that explains, shows, and sells

I turn information into content that feels clear, useful, and worth paying attention to online.

About Me

Hi, I’m Anna. A lot of my work revolves around understanding what makes people engage with content online.

I’ve created educational and promotional content for a hair extension brand, designed lessons and learning materials as a language tutor, and worked on research focused on the relationship between rejection, stress, and performance in work settings.

Across these experiences, I’ve become especially interested in what makes information feel clear, engaging, and actually useful to the people receiving it.

That perspective shapes how I approach content creation. I pay close attention to audience behavior, platform trends, and how content can be presented in a way that feels clear and engaging online.

I graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in Human Health Psychology and speak English, Spanish, and Russian.

Selected Projects

A selection of social media projects created for a beauty brand and a retail store, focused on making brand communication clearer and more engaging.

Extension aftercare post

Context
While working with Addendum Hair, I noticed that hair extension aftercare content performed well across other salon brands. Inspired by similar formats and visual references I saw on Pinterest, I proposed creating a clear, step-by-step aftercare post to address common client questions.

What I did
Planned and designed a four-part educational carousel. Shot original visuals with a professional camera and added on-brand text in Canva to explain each care step.

Outcome
This became the top performing static post during that period, earning the highest number of saves and shares.

K-tip transformation reel

Context
At Addendum Hair, part of my role involved editing and publishing a high volume of raw transformation footage filmed during client sessions, with the goal of clearly showing hair extension results and keeping the brand’s social content consistent and active.

What I did
Edited a before-and-after reel using CapCut, focusing on music, pacing, and transitions to highlight the transformation.

Outcome
The reel received the highest number of likes during my time on the account, performing two to three times higher than typical posts for that period.

Short promotional video

Context
West of Camden needed support creating social media content for its Instagram. To help keep the account active, my manager and I decided to showcase a selection of winter staples and seasonal pieces through a short video.

What I did
Filmed the video in-store, capturing different winter outfits and items, and collaborated with a coworker on the final edit.

Outcome
The video supported product visibility on social media while maintaining the store’s visual identity.
